Antoinette is the owner of NYC Violin Studio and the head violin instructor. She teaches private lessons and group violin classes.

She has taught thousands of hours in private violin lessons over the last 13 years and she has been playing violin for 33 years, cello for 1.5 years and viola for 1.5 years.

She is a versatile violinist that specializes in classical and contemporary (pop/rock). Her other favorite genres are fiddle and electric violin.

She runs her studio from the heart of NYC, in Midtown Manhattan.

When she's not teaching group classes or private lessons, Antoinette is program directing and running the day-to-day workings of the studio. She wrote the Absolute Beginner Violin Book 1 and founded the Song Library on the NYC Violin Studio website. She has produced hundreds of practice and informational videos, with even more planned.  The main recipients of these videos have been the Group Violin Class students, though she is working on creating more videos for the general public.

She is an active member of the American String Teachers Association (ASTA) and the NY Repertory Orchestra (NYRO), which is based in Manhattan and holds 6 concerts a year, open to the public.

The compliment she receives most often from her students is that she is a patient teacher who persists until the results are gotten.

Hear What Students are Saying

Have been with Antoinette for two semesters, and will definitely keep going. She's very professional and friendly. She puts her heart and soul into preparing us resources and presenting classes, making sure every piece of music and skill we practice fits our level and challenging enough. Also love the semi-annual concerts. I really enjoy learning with her, meeting great people in class, doing amazing music and showing off in concerts. Looking forward to the next semester!

Antoinette is not only a wonderful musician, she's a true teacher. She was endlessly patient with me and could always find a different way to explain or describe what I needed to do. She was always encouraging but never fake about praise, so when I got it, I knew I'd actually done something right--and if I didn't, she would simply work with me further on it until I did. I'm a teacher myself, so I recognize what it takes to be a good one--and Antoinette is not just good: she's excellent. I've never met better.

I've been taking violin lessons with Antoinette for several years -- highly recommend her to anyone who is interested in violin! She patient, kind and very knowledgeable.

She also runs a series of group classes throughout the year, with a Winter and Spring concert. These classes are a fun way to meet her other students and put your skills into action
